Happy Birthday!

Today is my 48th birthday and now that I'm getting older and time is a movin' I want to get out of my comfort zone and do things that I've been thinking of doing for a while but never got to them either because I don't think people would care or I was too scared. For any of you in the marketing world, I'm sure you know of Seth Godin. He is one of the most famous marketing bloggers in the world. He has millions of followers, over 9000 blog posts. He shared recently that at the beginning he had like a dozen readers. That's it. For the first few months. So that inspired me to write. Even if only 1 or 2 people read this, maybe it will be worth it for me. (I will not be putting notifications on for my posts except for this one).

I will write about whatever comes to me to write for that day. Perhaps today I will write why I have this site. I've always wanted to do something for others. Well not always. I think I became this way as I got older. Before I created this site, I was on Twitter for like 5 years sharing Torah there, but at some point it was too distracting and I had to leave it. It was no longer good for me, so I created this site. I hope people enjoy it and I hope it helps people. It would be nice if people could share stories with me, if this site has made an impact. It's always good to know you're making a difference in this world.

I am in Tzfat, Israel, have been here for the last 18 years of my life. Israel is my home. Israelis are my people. I try to see the good in people, even those who are not chareidi like me. I have dati leumi friends, secular friends, and everything in between. To me a Jew is a Jew.

I don't know how much I will share of my personal life. Probably very little but I will share that I am not married so open to dating/talking and seeing where it goes.

See you tomorrow!

Akiva
